Common use: kitchen & dining room

The only criticism is that there are no rubber tapes underneath. I have to install mine in the kitchen sink to use it or it will slide everywhere. Great for slicing onions.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Everything OK

It's Useless Best in Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

Dull useless blade. My previous DM mandolin, which I've used for over 30 years, is finally less sharp, but it was better than this one. Having used it once I realized it's non-refundable so add it to the cart.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Clean

Sturdy, easy to use at a great price

I had a mandolin like this that was damaged and needed replacing. I was a little skeptical about a brand I'm not familiar with, but I like this one more than the first! The mandolin is solid and the attachments/planers fit well and are easy to change. It includes a safety grip which is recommended when cutting, but it doesn't feel too natural so I use it without. Amazed at the value and reliability of this gadget, but we use it almost every day!

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Another tearful end

I bought it mainly for one thing: onions. I'm a known gripe when it comes to chopping onions and I was hoping that the mandolin would allow me to chop onions faster. Unfortunately, this was not destined to come true. Using a mandolin only makes things worse! The onion smell is stronger and the mandolin only works halfway before the onion layers separate and I have to hand chop the rest. Having to fight it if it doesn't cut all the way through or slipping off the cutting board doesn't improve my

I think it's ok. in graters, peelers and slicers

Pros: Cuts some foods more evenly than I personally do with a knife. faster than I can personally with a knife. Cons: Cheap, flimsy plastic. Blunt blade. Even with plastic handguards, this thing awaits a trip to the ER because of the above. Overall: you'll have to experiment to see which foods you can and can't reasonably slice with this thing. For example, he can't stand sweet potatoes. For me it's better than not having a mandolin at all and better than other slicers with higher price tags…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
