🔧 9-Piece Sunex 2690SE E10-E24 1/2-Inch Drive External Star Impact Socket Set, Cr-Mo, Standard, 6-Point Review

This set of male torx sockets is a very tight fit on the male torx screw, no clearance compared to other brands I've owned. This reduces the likelihood of the screw snapping off.

I've used them on a high torque punch and they haven't let me down yet. This is essential when working on new vehicles, especially Mercedes. I used them on a Mercedes gearbox recently and they saved the day.

Sunex 2690S 8 Piece Impact Socket Set with 1/2" star drive is an asset to the toolbox. Although I have other torx bit sets in my toolbox, this bit does -Set a very tight fit, meaning the torx bits fit better on the screw heads, allowing more torque to be applied without slipping.

NONE of the local car dealerships (I went to 3) had a set of external torxes large enough to fit the Jeep's caliper bracket bolts. This kit, a pry bar, and a 4ft piece of pipe allowed me to easily remove the bolts and not damage anything. Decent price for this set, quality seems good and they are Impact marked so should be very durable.

Good product, good value for money. With one exception, they did well. The largest socket is broken. After contacting the company, I was asked to send them a photo of a faulty outlet. After receiving the painting, they sent me a replacement. YOU REALLY HAVE MET YOUR WARRANTY! What a refreshing change for a company that honors its warranties promptly. I bought all my power sockets from Sunex because of their warranty.

So far they seem like a good set but they won't fit flywheel bolts or cylinder head bolts on a Nissan 2.0 engine as the diameter is too big, to go deep enough in the head to reach the E18 screws. When using flywheel bolts, the grooves inside the bushing will not line up properly with the bolts because the grooves on the end of the bushing are too narrow. This is a great set for easy access high head screws but not suitable for tight spaces or short head screws.
