Broke after two intensive uses.

I bought this key for use in vehicles without wheels; Twisting spark plugs, exhaust system parts etc. I've only used it for 2 jobs - it broke on my 2nd use on the 3rd spark plug out of 6! From the outside it looks reasonably well made, but the ratchet inside is junk. . It has significant spacing between clicks, but still isn't strong. It broke on the 18 ft-lb mission! Some metal has been blown out of the ratchet area and will no longer hold usable torque until it releases. Unfortunately I hadโ€ฆ

Good tool for a home mechanic

My bike hasn't needed service for a long time and I decided if I put it back together I'll do the right thing and try to tighten the bolts to spec. I looked at various torque wrenches looking for a torque wrench that offered a good combination of quality and price and settled on this one. My bike's assembly torque values ranged from 20 ft lbs to 80 ft lbs, so I used the full range of the tool. I found the tool easy to use, and while I didn't have a high-end key to test, I'm sure the resultsโ€ฆ

Very good value for us Aussies!

This seems to be a fairly well made tool and works well - haven't tested it for accuracy but 'feels' close! As the AUD was doing pretty well against the US dollar back then it was a steal - even with international shipping (which I think could have been cheaper as it came in a box FOUR times the size of the goods and the rest was filled with bubble wrap!?!?!), and due to the fact that most things are overpriced here compared to the US. (I bought in the US when our dollars were 35% cheaper thanโ€ฆ

Good quality tool - overall good product

This tool is well made, SAE and metric graded, comes with case and manual. I bought it to work on my motorcycle. The case is great as it has molded slots for extension cords and adapters. Buy a 3/8"-1/2' adapter with it! The manual is obviously a literal translation, but explains the theory of using a torque wrench well and includes conversion formulas and calculations for using a torque wrench extension. It hasn't been used long enough to test its durability but the tool seems to be of goodโ€ฆ

Disappointing - Torque Wrench

I was disappointed as soon as I opened the box. The knob does not match the scale on the wrench. When you stop the knob at "zero" it is between the two marks so you don't know if it's set at 20 or 25 ft/lbs. So if you think you're set at 20 when you're actually at 25, you're overtightening 25%, combined with a 4% tolerance, you could be overtightening 29% or vice versa, and you're not too tight enough. Another issue is that it is very difficult to turn the grip past 40 ft/lbs, it gets tighterโ€ฆ

  • 10 to 80 ft. lb Drive

  • Short Instructions

Neat TQ wrench for torque wrenches

I have used a TQ wrench from manufacturers like MAC, Snap-On etc. For the price, it's DEF. good TQ key. Restored my entire Harley with this TQ key. I have no idea why some buyers are having trouble with high TQ settings. There is a knob that needs to be loosened to adjust the TQ. Maybe they didn't notice, or maybe the knob got stuck while adjusting the TQ and didn't notice, or maybe they didn't know how to use the TQ wrench properly, like releasing the spring tension when not in use becomes the
