These bulbs got very hot! It's terribly hot, so I immediately replaced them with LED bulbs. Since then I only buy LEDs and I am very satisfied with them. I recommend LED, they don't heat up at all and the color is amazing compared to these

I had to return them because they were too hot for indoor use. I actually burned my hand touching one of these lightbulbs after they were on for a few minutes. I didn't feel safe putting them on my Fall Thanksgiving tree to be used indoors. But instead of them LED

Lamps are the right size and color for my father's altar (he has candles to match). He complained that lightbulbs were hard to find in stores and typically cost $1-2 each, so overall this 25-pack is good value. Although we noticed that 2 bulbs were damaged they were still worth the full purchase price and would buy again.

A pack of 25 C7 7w Orange Bulbs is $15, but 1 was missing and 1 was broken, leaving us with 23 usable bulbs. This is NOT orange lens, just clear bulbs with orange tinted lens. Some of them have not been painted perfectly and the paint may peel off. At seven watts, they're bright enough for what I needed, but generate more heat. Because they're colored, they retain heat and burn faster.

Not very successfully, two weeks ago I used the first bulb in a salt lamp, today it burned out. At first it seemed too bright for a 7w bulb, it may have been bad out of the box. If I have good results with future bulbs I will update this rating but if they continue to work as well as the first then my rating will be 2 stars. I would give them one star but at least it took a few weeks.

3 year update: We have used about 12 out of 25 bulbs in two salt lanterns in 3 years. off is an incandescent replacement. As mentioned below, after screwing it back in (turn it off), wipe the bulb with alcohol, a tissue if you have one, or a cotton swab quickly dampened with alcohol. Very satisfied. Place so far without problems. The 4 pack in Brick and Mortar costs 3.99, worth the risk to try. Previous locally bought C7s lasted 9-10 months, we use them 24/7. We use them in stone lanterns that…
