This one does not have the previous model's blue LED to indicate charging. It was a nice feature - I don't know why they removed the LED.

Purchased to keep a second vehicle's battery charged. Works amazing! I have dash cams that are plugged in and stay on so the battery is consistently low. But it keeps the battery fully charged.

We don't use the car very often and this caused problems charging the battery, especially in winter. Now it's in the past. After replacing the battery and alternator several times, we bought a solar charger and now the car starts as if it had a fresh battery every time! Couldn't be happier.

I give it two stars because it produces a little current in full sun, but the total current output is far, far less than what is needed to charge my pickup truck's battery. , even though I disconnected the ground strap to eliminate stray currents such as reverse current leakage through the generator diodes. Got this for one of my clients who doesn't drive his car often enough to keep the battery charged and it works perfectly. Just firmly connected to the battery and placed on the dashboard and it works. No more problems with an undercharged battery. I also like the fact that it doesn't charge the battery, it keeps it, which has been a problem I've found with many solar panels.

The solar panel is nice and compact, about the size of a sun visor on a windshield. The main caveat, however, is that you shouldn't leave it plugged in while the engine is running or it could damage the solar panel's charging circuit, according to the manufacturer.
