Not perfect, but worth it.

While I love this glowing ribbon, it's not perfect. The dimmer buzzes and doesn't really work right out of the box. You need to connect the power line to the light bar. For this I used good old wire nuts. The light emitted is quite bright, although I have no way of measuring lumens. I'm guessing its brightness is about the same as two 24 watt fluorescent lights (connected in four side-by-side strips for overhead work lighting in a carpentry shop). The transformer only lasts 6 months and "Warm White " is actually much colder at 3500K. It also has a green tint.

Lamps work fine unless you buy a transformer and your definition of "warm white" is 3500K (not the usual definition of 2700K-3000K). UPDATE: The transformer died after 6 months. The light doesn't work now. The light is installed under the cabinets in the laundry room. The light (and transformer) was only turned on 4 times a week but after 6 months the transformer died. Good Looking and Easy to Install

They fit perfectly under our kitchen cabinets. It took me a little time to figure out the connectors (they are clamshell type). I hid the transformer in a closet, cut off the plug and routed the cord to an outlet to hide it. I used 18 gauge tubing wire when I had to hop past the sink and stove (wire in a wall that doesn't have cabinets to hide the wire. After much research, satisfied with this product.

UPDATE: May 23, 2015 -- As many have complained, while these lights work great under cabinets, these lights are difficult to attach to the underside of cabinets. The original glue didn't last long. Then we tried double-sided tape. NO. Then double-sided foam tape. NO. We decided we didn't get the foam tape close enough - added more to fill in the gaps. NO. Tried low temp hot glue. Something held, then NO. Apparently the light heats up enough to release this glue. I hated using high temp hot…
