These animals need toys to chew and play with (aka play). These items are reasonably priced and are fun for my guinea pigs and chinchillas. Full Disclosure: The chinchilla gets most of the toys, but they are all "chewable" and enjoyable.

The pigs loved the ladder and the bale of straw to chew on. They don't play or chew much otherwise. I'm concerned about the glues they use and the color in the carrots. You could put food on the swing but no more. Looks funny from a human point of view, but no big deal for a real guinea pig!

These toys are adorable! My chinchilla loves the bell. Unfortunately, he was more interested in the box they were in. I don't know if it's the wood the toys are made of that my little guy doesn't like or if he's just an idiot. Half of the toys are basically just decorations for his habitat, so I'm not too disappointed. At least he has the opportunity to play!

My hamster loves these toys. She doesn't usually pay much attention to what I buy her, but surprisingly she likes it. This morning when I woke up she took all the toys to her den (except hanging stuff). She loves chewing them in the middle of the day. At night, she tries to climb hanging toys in hopes of escaping. It is so cute that she plays with it and has fun herself.

Of course, our hamster immediately decided on these metal parts! We can't even use the swing because she's obsessed with chain chewing. And the metal on the strands of the wood pieces broke after a week causing the hook to fall off, so it's totally unusable because it's not safe because the metal wire is exposed and sharp now. She chews a few bites and seems to like carrots best. All in all I can't recommend this set for the price.
