Excellent Cellular Signal Analyzer

Excellent Cellular Signal Analyzer, tells you the carrier and band performance in LTE. You can also refine the analysis to get specific sub-band power measurements. Very valuable for setting up directional antennas

Best way to save your money with accessories

Bought to help with cell booster placement - when I first got to work the rechargeable batteries were dead although I had only recently charged them. The second time around I definitely charged it for the night - I got to work and the battery indicator showed the battery was 1/3 drained. Polling started and the screen started to dim. Turned off/on - the result is the same. I'll go back - spend my extra $$ and get from Webboost/Wilson.

Need more info

While using this product I didn't really understand what was going on. How it works is a bit confusing and doesn't provide much information. There are many generalizations about different "ranges" of frequencies, and I've always been looking for more details. At one point I wondered if it was really working as it saw a signal that shouldn't be there. As a simple detector it has some value, but not for close to $300, maybe $100. Since then I've bought a portable RF spectrometer which is amazing…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some flaws

I live in the area and go to areas with very poor line and reception. I also have an iPhone for which Apple has practically disabled diagnostic information such as LTE Verizon signal strength in dBm CMX! So this is the next best thing after buying an Android and running it in "field test mode (with a valid SIM card)". For me, my maximum signal level was -49 dBm. but for some reason the weakest signal is shown as "-70dBm" which as we all know is not the weakest signal reading (should be closer…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No job

Battery life not great

BUT, it comes with 1000mAh AAA NiMH batteries so what would you expect? I find that the device likes 1.5V batteries better than 1.2V batteries, so I bought 1.5V 1200mAh lithium batteries. Now it works much better. The features appear to be identical to the more expensive Wilson Pro counterpart. I've used it long enough to be concerned about battery life, and having also used a Wilson meter I know it's about the same. Good buy.

Pros
  • CONTROLLED LIGHT: For dark environments
Cons
  • Short manual

I've been using it for about a week and it correctly detects the signal strength on different bands, from 700MHz LTE, CELL and PCS to AWS. With the included antenna adapters I can use a highly directional 18dBi 850MHz Yagi antenna to check where cell towers are located. start deduction. So I replaced the batteries with fresh 1800mah Ni-MH rechargeable batteries which allow me to use the meter for around 40-50 minutes when charged via the meter itself. The battery status indicator on the screen…
