Ideal for on the go. Adds an additional USB 3.0 port running at full speed. With this adapter I was able to connect all my devices to USB-C. I think they could have built a stronger case and also removed the huge model numbers on the side. However, there are no stars for any of them.

This more than met my expectations in terms of eliminating the need for a proprietary power adapter and providing a USB 3.0 data connection. Now I can use a USB-C PD power bank to charge my phone, tablet, laptop and surface pro. The only downsides are the fragility of the case and the height above the connector, making it easier to detach. Works as described. Closes securely like the original adapter. An additional USB port is also a plus, although it only works when the device is powered on. It should also be noted that USB does not function as a USB display port even when it is on. I don't care, but some of you might. In general, the construction doesn't look cheap, but it doesn't look as good as the original either. The price could be a bit lower, $25 seems like a lot for a 3rd party adapter. I really liked it at first, due to Covid I stopped going to campus and used my computer more so I didn't use the adapter for a few months and before that only a couple of times. I popped it in and it started to simmer and in just a few seconds it was fried on one end. If you value your security and your laptop, don't buy this

it's a bit thin but it ensures the charger doesn't fall off my surface all the time. I connected the USB cable at a right angle and now the cable runs along the edge of the table without constantly coming loose.
