Just got it a month ago and the cable has already snapped. I would have to hold onto the part of the cable that broke in a certain way in order for the cable to charge my laptop. Very disappointed.

This item only lasted 2 months. Everything seemed fine at first, but quickly the cable frayed in one spot and now it didn't work at all. The quality of Surface book chargers is deteriorating. I'm still looking for a good one.

2nd error. 1. didn't work. The replacement failed in less than a year. Very little use. No abuse. I only use it when traveling. Error at the point where the output cable comes out of the brick. Sometimes it works if I wiggle the cable. The power cord is too short.

It does an excellent job of charging my computer and arrived quickly - thank goodness as I'm due to attend a zoom conference in the next 2 days. However, it caught fire when I plugged it in, so I took it out and plugged it back in - it was still sparkling. I waited, but nothing else happened, so I plugged it into the computer to charge.

I bought this charger because the original one that came with the computer died on me. That works great! It's as wearable as the original and you won't even know it's a replacement. I was wary of the quality due to the low price, but it's every bit as good as the $60 counterparts, so I'd definitely recommend it. Great purchase on my part!

Update: Only lasted 5 months and is dead now. Does its job but I'll give it a two because it almost hurt me, big shock came out as soon as I wanted to plug it in, it was so scary! I almost got electrocuted! Now I have to keep an eye on it while it's charging to make sure it doesn't start a fire while it's plugged in, but for now I'm afraid to plug it back in.

This was a replacement charging cable for my Surface. My native cord lasted about 4 years. The one I bought in September has already stopped working. The cable wasn't that flexible, so the chances of wires getting compromised were pretty high. I am very disappointed that it only lasted a few months. Now I don't have a laptop, my main and most important tool for my business.

There are two parts - a plug that fits into a socket with a short cord. And the device itself, which then connects to the Surface. I have no issues with the device itself and how it connects to the Surface. And it loads as it should. I took my original short cable connector and am now using it instead of the one that came with it. That plug and the short cord they sent are patchy.

It looks like a stock PSU, which is very advantageous over the new Microsoft PSU. This started causing problems such as B. Temporarily no connection from the chord to the transformer unit. The seller asks for a one year warranty but I couldn't get hold of them. I had to go through Revain customer service which they replaced. So I have a new PSU on the way. Microsoft's original cable only lasted about a year before failing. Maybe I need to get new ones regularly.
