My two daughters broke the ceiling fan switches. I thought we'd have to replace the entire fan/lights but they worked great and were a lot cheaper! My husband installed both in less than 30 minutes.

The switch is taller than what I bought as a replacement. Too big to fit vertically in the instrument. I had to drill a hole in the side of the bracket and mount the switch horizontally. Probably should have taken measurements before ordering. But with a little technique it works.

Exactly what it says on the tin is fine but I am concerned about the durability of the plastic over time. A plastic thread is never ideal for screwing something metallic onto it. That's probably fine, but I wish they had at least made the collar out of plastic so the metal doesn't tear the plastic and pull new strings, and they could probably save a buck.

The pull chain for the ceiling fan in our bedroom started to have a hard time turning on and then just cut off completely. I removed the fan (which was the hardest part of the job) and removed the switch. The numbers on the switch are easy to read. I ordered a replacement and everything assembled with no issues.
