In general this is what I needed for my application. I have a computer and a turntable connected to the same speakers. I did notice a slight reduction in volume and a slight drop in sound quality, but for the price this is a great solution. I tried connecting my devices with a simple splitter but got crazy noises and terrible sound quality. This eliminated 99% of them. Barring buying a much more expensive mixer, this is the best solution for adding two signals to a speaker set.

I left my old 3.5mm jack in the sound card connector. mm cable that the splitter came with. There should be different spacing in the nest. Must use this one.
