Don't waste money. Get what you pay for.

No markers required. Crayons pull on the fabric as they trace the design, making it difficult to use effectively. Tailor's chalk is less chalk and more wax. In order for the "chalk" to work on dark fabric, you have to press firmly. "Chalk" does not melt completely when ironed, but becomes more difficult to see.

Great products. for sewing tools

I like this set. The crayons work great, love the variety of colors. Pencils work great, colors are clearly visible on the materials. Markers work great too, you just have to remember that they can be permanent on the material. Overall I can recommend this set for the price as I find the quality to be excellent.

Ink disappears in the water!

I bought this despite several reviews suggesting markers could be a problem. I pulled out a piece of cream muslin to check. I tried deleting which didn't work. When I did that I hit the water glass and it splashed onto the fabric - instantly some of the batter disappeared so I poured a small amount of water onto the fabric and after 5 seconds it was all gone. I am super happy with this purchase!

Reviewed markers only

I am only reviewing markers, no opinion on chalk and colored pencils as I have not used them. I really wanted these pens to work. The photo shows that the lines disappeared after a few hours. I have now tried 5 different types of disappearing ink markers. NONE of them work, they all left marks, lasting marks. It's no different with this one, after 2 days all the color markings that I made as a test are still there. Adding water seems to work, then it dries up and comes back. Unfortunately I…

Taylor' Chalk, Pencil & Fabric Marker Set

- "Markers" don't disappear, they wash off quickly, easily and cleanly with water. They offer bright and varied colors and a fine point. "Chalk" is soft and does not appear to contain any wax. Can be brushed off easily or rinsed off with water. The chalk is thin enough to make fine marks and the different colors are pleasing and vibrant. It seems that the "pencils" are made of waxed plaster. They are not easy to wash off, but wash well with water. Do not iron them before washing to prevent the…

Finding the right item is always a journey

I'm a kind of quilter. I needed a dark fabric marker to make a stitch for hand sewing. I work with hexagons. The products they sent are great, but I have yet to test them all. My fault I ordered chalk items. They seem to go away when I take them. I'll try sharpening my chalk pens to see if they work. I can order wax crayon markers, which the company also sells. BUT I am so thankful for the speed with which they arrived. I have already visited the store for them without success. So it's an…

Pros
  • Cloth marker with disappearing erasable ink
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

For the price and quantity you get this is a great money saver for sewing beginners. I have a twin and it was enough for us that everyone got at least one of everything. However the pins do wear out easily there, I used green on 3 small cuddle pads, they weren't even 5 inches. Triangular chalk is fine, but it's very stiff and sometimes doesn't show on the fabric and you run it over it a few times, which isn't a problem for beginners like us, but it can seem rough to others on intensive…
