I don't like the fact that the speakers don't retain true Bose sound, which should be compared to a standard stereo system.

car audio installer for many years. Item installed correctly, worked for 2 weeks and then shut down (no noise, no memory/switch save, no backup sensors etc.). Went around for a customer due to an upcoming trip and when they came back I was past my return deadline. I reinstalled the OEM radio and now I'm stuck with an $80 paperweight.

I bought it to save money and install it. This item did not work well. The steering only worked intermittently. And for my particular setup, I had to purchase additional parts beyond this kit to get my OEM steering wheel/rear camera/USB/entertainment to work. I would advise you to use the iDatalink kit, obviously it costs more but it also has more functionality and more positive user reviews.

Makes it easy to install a new stereo in my Silverado. The guide was pretty good, but I can't get the steering wheel controls to work. Obviously, this is the hardest part, especially for unnamed stereos. So I'm not even sure it's fair to give this one star, but here it is. Turn signals and other sounds are different and louder, but I think they are fresh. I would definitely buy again.
