Works great / Excellent Price

I was a bit hesitant due to mixed reviews. The great price and design made me want to try it. Since heat and friction are the enemies of mechanical devices, I've always done my best to keep my drives cool. All of my previous docking stations were of the "toaster" design, with half the hard drive remaining in the case (heat chamber). The open design helps cool better than any I've had. I also installed a 5v usb fan with velcro to dissipate the heat. The fan is pointing to Source A's slot…

Disabled in Mac OS 10.13.4

Sata connection issues can be system specific, so I can only report my experience. I have a MacBook Pro with OS 10.13.4. This dock shuts down multiple times a day and has crashed my system multiple times, requiring a hard reboot. The same drives in an enclosure with two Burley docks have NEVER been dropped or broken. Of course, our mileage may vary, but I would caution Mac users with a more modern OS.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Factor Set

I have a 6TB 3.5 inch hard drive with various contents that I want to copy to a new 8TB drive. I then use the dock to store these two drives as external hard drives for my 2012 Mac Mini (quad-core i7 with Sierra), the station offered by Revain, and that's it, despite being advertised for PC (the cloning software offered is for PC only), I went ahead knowing that if it was USB it would work fine on a Mac. everything, connected the dock to my min with the included USB3 cable, plugged in the…

Great product for the price

Great product for the price. It comes with L-shaped inserts for using 2.5 inch drives, which is very convenient. Actual cloning time depends on how much data is being cloned, but we found it quick and easy. We like the fact that no software is required to use this device. USB 3.0 transfer speed is great when using this device as a docking station. I would buy this item again.

Used to copy a Tivo Roamio disc. Works perfectly.

My Tivo Roamio hard drive has failed and started making noise. I ordered this to make a direct copy to a new WD Purple AV drive. I didn't connect it to my computer. I just used the clone function. It worked great. It copied in less than 2 hours. The existing drive was 500GB and the new drive was 1TB. I haven't expanded the new drive to take advantage of the extra space, but that's a project for another time. He kept all records and settings. Very happy with the performance.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Don't waste money.

Sold as "IOCrest CL-ENC50060" "Dual HDD Dock" identified as bundled software MAIWO GZX-202, "PC Clone Ex Lite+" will not activate, with dongle supplied, reports error that user does not in nets (I'm online if you're wondering how I posted that). The manufacturer's website does not load, the manufacturer's emails come back because the domain does not exist. Device detects, drivers are loaded. Here the joy ends. Drives attached to it will not be registered or mounted regardless of capacity, model

  • Always liked
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
