I made the mistake of washing the scoop which came out with a horrible black coating that I couldn't remove. Ice bucket that can't be washed? Not good.

I bought this to put in the freezer. My fridge doesn't make ice so this is the best thing to have in the freezer. I buy sonic ice packs so they are easy to break and accessible every day.

Simple design, not too bulky, durable and gets the job done! Now I'll never run out of ice cream! Always keep it in the freezer and have ice ready. I love this product and would recommend it to anyone who wants to store ice easily accessible! For your health!

Much to our disappointment, despite the attractive ice bucket, we found that our old ice bucket did a better job than this one. I would recommend this bucket if you want the bucket to be displayed on a bar counter or end table but not for ice storage.

We actually use it on the kitchen counter as a trash can. We put trays in etc. and then in our compost bin. We don't usually have weirder issues, but the lid holds most of the good, unless we have onion skins. In this case we can empty it before it fills up. We are not vegetarians, but eat a lot of fruit and vegetables.

Last weekend I had to use an ice bucket. I was in training and I filled the bucket with ice. The air conditioning didn't work very well and everyone in the seminar was sweating. This ice bucket hasn't melted. The "double wall" is made of liner rather than galvanized metal, but insulates the bucket. The design is simple and not ostentatious, but appealing. I like the shovel that attaches to the side of the bucket. I am more than happy with my purchase.
