I don't know who defined the word 'human' for this product, but pets are far from the case! The spikes are plastic but definitely sharp enough to pierce through flesh, especially if the cat jumps onto a high surface like a stove. It might be fine for a garden for tough, hardy outdoor wildlife, but not for pets, and certainly not for kittens or puppies that have very sensitive skin and paws. Do not buy for internal use!

So my first two rounds with this guy had to use metal plates, he jumped over the first one and so I added a second, he jumped over them and apparently the other two squirrels started to copy it, so I went ahead and bought them. Well it took about 4 hours for this little villain to show he thought about it. The other thing is I tried using a stapler but the plastic is too weak and will break so you have to be very creative to install it. To make a long story short, I have three buns.

I bought this cat mat a few months ago and installed it in my yard. At first it seemed to keep cats out of my yard. Fast forward: The carpet became completely brittle after a short exposure to the sun. It is so fragile that pieces will break off at the slightest touch!
