Breaks best in cutting machines

All four bits broke in half in just a few minutes of cutting. I doubt the authenticity of the beats. Having never bought them before, I didn't realize they needed a zip at the top and mine didn't come with one.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • ill thought out

Make sure you walk slowly, they break very easily

Pros: Works but you have to move slowly. It's good that I received the package because I had the last one left. Cut a hole for a toilet bowl in porcelain stoneware. Cons: Easy to install. Maybe the porcelain stoneware I used was too much for that.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Transparency

Cuts through grout but dulls quickly on mine

I don't think that's unique to this bit set. I bought several separate nozzles and they all fade quickly on grout and/or wall tiles. I don't get it because years ago I thought I had a bit that cut faster and last longer. However, it is a good price and with 4 pieces I could finish the job.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Item not received as shown in product review

The summary for this bit says it can cut plaster up to 1 inch. The picture looked like the cut surface was about 1/2 the length of the drill. He also said the bit was 1.75 inches long. What I received was a 1.5" bit with a 1/2" cutting surface. It won't cut 1 inch thick material which is why I bought it. Misleading image and description for this product.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Good but not great

Not for ceramic tiles!

These discs do not cut ceramic tiles. I was very disappointed. The description says wall tile, but it should mean very soft tile as it won't cut through 1/4" thick ceramic floor tile. I've used it with my Roto Zip saw. 1/8" tile. I think they'll do just fine for cutting hardi backing or other material but do not trust the description of tile cutting.

Pros
  • Practical matter
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Breaks Easily - Power Tool Parts & Accessories

Used with a Craftsman rotary cutter to cut vents and access electricity in fiber cement (hardie) soffits. Cut off about 2 inches, then snap into place with very little pressure. This worked with my smaller Dremel tool, but it was hard to control without the surface guide like a regular disc cutter. I could cut two circles with the circle guide and move painfully slowly. Had to resort to carbide jigsaw blades to complete the project. The larger cutter seems to have too much power for this 1/8th…

Break easily.: Straight, spiral and trimming bits

They won't last long. I had to run to my local Lowe's where I bought these 5/16 bits. Broke all four of those 1/8" bits and just cut a hole in the outer 1/4" hard board. Using a 5/16" drill bit, cut eight 4" holes in the ceiling of my patio's solid planks for recessed LED lights. I pre-drilled a 1/2" pilot hole, ran the Rotozip saw blade to full speed, and then started cutting. 1/8" diameter holes broke no matter how fast or slow the drill bit moved before cutting. Never got it to turn or a cut

Pros
  • Straight
Cons
  • No instructions

The Right Tool for the Job

Watching an electrician use his Roto Zip tool to make 3 drywall bits while he installed a light switch for me. Why? because he was trying to cut through 70 years of sanding plaster and drywall. After so many years, these walls are almost as hard as concrete! After investigating his error I bought this carbide chisel which cuts through the plate like a hot knife through butter with no ill effect on the chisel. If I have any complaints it's that the bits can be a bit longer. Roto Zip also…
