I've used it a few times and don't know if I'm using it right but it leaves a silvery metallic stain on your pads. Washes off, but I don't know if it is.

Works much better than the lost one and much better than a screwdriver! The pads last much longer between washes which is a huge benefit when polishing boats. Pads can be expensive and this tool is worth it.

I use it in advance to pull out the fibers and then pull out the whole product. It's amazing how much material comes out. After mixing/waxing, I soak the pads in a bucket of hot water, oxygen scavenger, and dish soap overnight, then brush off the residue the next day. After drying, they look almost new. This has saved me a lot of money over the years.

1 star does not necessarily have to relate to the function of the product. Arrived in a clear/open plastic bag, unmarked, covered with orange powder on the inside. When I pulled them out, I found the orange powder was rust. The spurs were completely rusted and didn't spin at all. Instead of sending them back I soaked them in vinegar overnight and brushed them with a wire brush in the morning. Everything seems fine now. Very disappointed that they were sent in this condition. This tool is essential for anyone who uses a wool pillow. For those who don't know how to use it, all you have to do is set the buffer to a relatively slower speed, take this wheel and hold it slightly tilted at a slight angle to you (at least I do it like that) . . Move from the center of the pad and then begin moving the tool outwards, applying light pressure to the pad to dislodge any remaining wax on the pad. The old wax powder will fly away, so be prepared.
