Simple, lightweight, works exactly as intended. Holds enough oil for a standard domestic fryer. I only use it to strain the oil, temporarily hold the oil while I clean the fryer, then just pour it out again. Works perfectly!

Very thin metal. The product holds up well and filters well through fine meshes. The only criticism is that the lid is too tight and difficult to remove.

About a year later, the pot's metal handle broke at one of the bends. The handle didn't break, but the crack created a sharp edge that made the pot difficult to handle. Apparently the metal used in the handle does not withstand deformation. Also the plastic handle on the lid is made of two parts and keeps water while washing. It is necessary to disassemble the handle to dry the cover after washing.

Handle and Spacer Not Installed. When I tightened the screw, the gasket broke into 3 pieces. I didn't even tense up. I either grind the spacer round or I remove it and then shorten the screw. Otherwise everything seems fine. I had no trouble putting the lid on properly like the others. The grip issue isn't a big deal to me as a manufacturer, but it will be a big deal to most buyers.

I just received this and when I unscrewed the lid handle it broke and broke into several pieces. It was almost as if the lid's plastic handle was aging - the way plastic crumbles when left in the sun for too long. What's left of the lid pull is loose and I think it will only be a matter of time before the rest snaps and renders it useless (if you can't remove the lid)! I'm disappointed in the product because it feels like it could have been really great otherwise.

We love it, but we have the same problem as the others: the lid doesn't fit properly. I understand the net had to be held in place for the top to work, but it's very loose so I have to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't fall off or spill. The mains filter is also good. but not great. There have been many instances of larger pieces of debris going through without giving a target. I love how much oil fits in and how easy it is to clean in the dishwasher. I just want it to work better.

Made in China. I have not sifted and reused cooking/cooking oil before. I bought this strainer, pot and 3 piece lid to reuse the oil. The inside dimensions of the pot are 5 1/2 inches deep and 5 1/4 inches in diameter. I haven't confirmed the volume but it says it holds 1.9 litres.
