Not as heat resistant as expected but good grip

These work well with stainless steel pot handles if I don't leave them on while cooking on the stove. I left them by the handles the first time they roasted and they got so hot I couldn't take the pan off the gas stove. It's a bit nice to put them on and take them off every time I get my hands on the pan, but that's the only way they work for me.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Not bad

They protect the hands sufficiently from burning handles.

I bought these to protect my hands from the hot metal handles of a large brazier with pot handles which burn my hands! The pot is great, but the handles are dangerous. These silicone gloves slide and stay on pretty well. While I still feel some heat from the grips, these silicone grips prevent burns. They are also washable. I would recommend them.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Perfect for 12 " cast iron griddle and 10 " skillet

I have a Cooks Essentials 12" cast iron griddle pan with 2 handles. These pens are sooooo hot. With these handles I can now take the grill off the stove without burning my hands! I work fast and leave them on while they cook. As for my Martha Stewart 10" Enamelled Cast Iron Skillet, this handle fits perfectly and I no longer burn my hands. I also use a long handle silicone case. These handles must not get hot. Correctly! Who said that?

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others

Great little handles: Oven mitts and mitts

Just what I need to remove hot dishes from the toaster, microwave and anywhere traditional oven mitts have come into contact with food are (ick). They're tiny, so while they're perfect for lifting objects that only require a pincer grip, I wouldn't recommend them if you need a full hand. But as a bonus, they come in very handy as handles for opening caps on small diameter bottles. I wish there were more color options to match different uses, but I ordered a second set anyway. Very happy withโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some little things

Comfortable and they work!

My favorite scrambled egg has small metal loops as handles. After burning my fingers a few times and catching fire on a kitchen towel and an oven mitt, I realized I needed a better solution for handling the pan while cooking eggs. These pliers are perfect! You can't leave them on the handles while the flame is burning or they'll temporarily discolor and get quite warm, but they're simple enough to just slip on and off when needed. They also fit the handles on my large enamelled cast iron stoves

Pros
  • even an old man understands
Cons
  • High price

Protects fingers/hands from hot metal pencils

I was happy to find a silicone pencil holder to use with my steel pan. I like to have them ready to use so I can hold, lift or move my pan without having to put on oven mitts. This is much more convenient than oven mitts or small pencils. They are a little wider than my handle so they hang when not in use but they are designed for thicker pans and handles etc but work well and can be left 'hanging' on my metal handle and light for cleaning if needed be removed. I was hoping to find a choice ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Ideal for enamelled cast iron cookware!

These silicone pot handles work great and are perfect for my enameled cast iron cookware. I've bought other similar items in the past and while I could use them to lift a hot pot, they were too big to grab hold of by the handles, affecting the overall comfort of the whole. Because these pot handle covers actually stay on the handles, I can keep them on while cooking (on an electric stove - haven't put them in the oven yet) and don't have to look for a heating pad or oven. Glove for holding theโ€ฆ
