I bought the cooling pad in February 2016, so I've been using it for 11 months. The device pulls air down through the laptop and out both sides. My HP laptop is 15.7 inches and works well for a pad. A 17 inch laptop will protrude slightly over the edges. My usage is for heavy business use, not gaming.
