TECKWRAP Release Weeding Vinyl Installation Review

When it first came out, I was looking for a vinyl weeding tool called a Pin Pen. You might be thinking it's just an ink pen with a blunt needle, so it doesn't matter, does it? No, that is not so. This thing is so cheaply made that it doesn't retract when you click on it and isn't good at weeding small pieces. A real pen grip is of course only $2 more plus shipping, but it looks a lot stronger than this thing.

I love this tool. I can't believe how easy it is to remove small pieces of vinyl with this tool. Very small circles came off with ease, and most importantly, when I used this to pick up tiny pieces of vinyl that had been painted over on the sign, I didn't scratch the wood underneath the vinyl like I did when using the weed hook. I also like how the spring seems to give me more control and is comfortable to hold compared to a weed hook. If you work with vinyl and cutting machines, this is a must

I absolutely hate weeding vinyl after cutting it with the Cricut Explore Air 2 BUT. This weeder pen makes it less annoying for me. The pick separates the negative bits from the design more easily than branded weeding tools, and the sticky rubber on the other end picks up those little tricky bits, as well as the larger bits that can stick to the mat once removed. Never enjoy the process of weeding, but having the right tools for the job makes a world of difference.
