Description of TEKTON Drive Hex Socket SHB23208

S2 steel bit is press-fit into the socket for a straight, permanent connection that can't loosen over time. 6-sided hexagonal tip is machined to precise tolerances for an exact fit with hex fasteners. Large, clear die-stamped size marking is easy to read and can’t wear off. Four detent grooves provide a secure connection with the drive tool and a drilled through-hole allows locking on with retaining pin. Polished, chrome-plated finish easily wipes clean and is highly resistant to corrosion. Beveled inner rim of the socket opening helps guide it smoothly onto fasteners. Overall Length: 2.2 in. Shaft Diameter: 0.31 in. Drive End Diameter: 1 in. Exposed Bit Length: 0.7 in.

Easy and Efficient Socket for Automotive Repairs!

This hex socket is a must-have for any DIY car mechanic. As my tests showed, it provides a strong grip on the nut or bolt, making removal and installation a breeze. The socket is durable and can withstand heavy use .However, it may not be suitable for very tight SPACES in the engine compartment or under the vehicle frame. Nonetheless, i highly recommend this socket for all your automotive repairs needs..

Good quality, very strong.

I bought this because I bent some allen keys when trying to tighten a fairly large set screw that required a 5/16 allen bit was. It pulled in over 100 ft-lb of torque, no problem. It makes the job very easy with a decent 1/2 inch ratchet.
