These are great shoes to take anywhere, in my favorite color and pattern. My foot size 8 is perfect for her size 8 - shoes with a wide sole protect the foot from accidents. I wore my last pair while waiting for my favorite model to go on sale and it happened. I walked many kilometers in these shoes. I have bought many Teva sandals in a similar style and I love them. That's the only couple I just can't stand. They are not like previous generations. The strap sits too low on the heel but is well padded and has an adjustable strap. It sits too low because the sides are short. My left pinky rubs the strap the wrong way and hurts. I LOVE them. To be honest I thought they were too utilitarian/sporty for me so I tried the medium shapes of the Teva as well, thinking I'd keep that to myself. The Hurricanes were the clear winners! You are way cuter than I thought. The insole is SO comfortable - durable soft plastic with some suppleness and soft arch support which is perfect for me as I have flat feet. (The mid-cut shoe had an uneven/textured foam sockliner that I knew would irritate my sensitive skin on a hot day). will work,
