The stamps are too small!

3 inch wire punch was negligible. but 2 inches is a pathetic 1/8 inch. I ended up having to file both holes to fit the 2" and 3" hard EMT bushings. on stamps, otherwise a good buy.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Safety

It broke on the second hole!

This damn thing broke on the second hole I punched in the 200 amp base plate. The hose had a leak between the spout where the head connects. Maybe I just got a bad block, but what annoyed me so much was that it delayed my project! I will update my review if it is replaced in time.

If you need to punch large holes in sheet metal, this is for you.

Everyone who needs to punch good, clean holes in sheet metal knows and loves them, but hates paying for Greenlee punches - they don't come cheap. For the price of a large shock absorber I buy this set including the hydraulic shock absorber system. This is better than the two key method. Solidly made, well made (by someone who appreciates good machine work). Satisfied.

It's a great tool at a really great price

I bought this product about a year ago and have used it many times. It's a great tool at a really great price, but that's why I can't give it 5 stars. I broke a hairpin on my knockout set the other day. The pin broke in my 2" die and I couldn't unscrew it from the die. So I needed both a new 2" die and a draw bolt. I contacted TEMCo, told them what happened, sent them a photo. They had spare parts on my doorstep for days. It was like any warranty business process.

oil leaks. I have to pay to ship the product for the repair and it failed within the first 30 days (and the company knew about it). I did a great job but we had to fill the piston pump 2 or 3 times a day to get it pumping air. We had oil in the switch and the equipment (it was food processing equipment by the way) and we had to clean it thoroughly before handing the job over to the customer. It's a rip off that you have to buy a tool and then pay shipping to have it fixed. I'll probably replace

Just buy it. Woodcraftusa insta

I have no idea what the negative reviews are about. This seems to me to be an operator error. I've been punching 4" holes since I bought this set. And it works great. zero complaints. For $275, can't complain. All I had to do was drill a cross pattern into each cup. I simply used an old Greenlee KO set to make pencil marks and tapped it lightly with a Dremmel diamond point. Again, if you use it properly, you shouldn't have any problems with it. But they sent me a replacement without asking any…

A Marine Electrician's Dream Come True

If you work in the marine industry and deal with lots of NEMA 4X and NEMA 12 enclosures then this is the best buck to spend all year. This has greatly improved the performance and professional appearance of the openings in these cases. MUCH BETTER than a hole saw and much more economical than a cordless set. It's very fast, the cork cleaning tool broke every cork, making material removal very easy. The only downside to this device is the weight of the powerhead. if you have to work on the head…

Updated Review - Hand Tools

The tool itself seems fine but on my first hole (4 inches) the pull rod broke. First bent, then broken at the second hole. Don't worry, they have a 5 year guarantee. Obviously not. I contacted the company, also without a response. Guaranteed lies. After just a month, I was forgotten as a buyer with the ability to write a review. Bad move. The tool is now unusable. Update: After some fiddling with Temco I got a new bolt. Only after I sent them a picture of the hole I punched when it broke…

Great price for a hydraulic starter kit.

I love that the price was low, I'm an electrician by trade and this set is right on my budget. Now for the not so great parts of it. The bolt and dies appear to have some play and will wobble a little more than they should. I end up using Greenlee dies as they have much less wobble and better cutting ability. The on/off button is mislabeled and it doesn't concern me as I've been doing this for 20 years so tightening and loosening things comes naturally to me but when my student went and tried…

Pros
  • Great design

  • Crumpled packaging
