You know it's $20 so can't complain too much. The grandchildren loved it, otherwise I would have given fewer stars. The amount of sand provided will not fill the entire box unless you sprinkle it very thinly. Always a little different than real kenetic sand, but I expected that. The box is big enough for 2 small children to play in it at the same time. The bottom is thin so time will tell how long it lasts. Tress is a joke, thin and easily torn.

This is my daughter's favorite birthday present I bought for her! She plays with it every day and her dad and I had fun with it too! I have personally put sand in another gift which was an art set and came in a large plastic box that snaps/locks in place so I can't say too much about the sandbox material it came with. except that my cats love using it. like a bed! In case anyone is wondering, vacuuming sand from low rugs is pretty easy.

Got this for my 7 year old niece and she loves it! The shapes are so cool! You can build a miniature sandcastle or create a dinosaur island. Or burying dinosaurs in the sand. Or create sand dinosaurs with shapes and make mr. something like a potato head and add the hands, eyes and hats that go with it! And there is something that ties it all together so there isn't much mess! cool gift hours of fun. The box it comes in looks pretty cheesy, but don't worry, what's inside is amazing.

And it's not that bad! This is a great foldable fabric "tray" for kinetic sand. The sides are high enough so my four year old doesn't spill too much. At least not enough to drive me crazy and hide the sand the next time he asks to play with it. This item does NOT come with a sealed storage or container for all parts. This is a great sand kit! My daughter loves playing with sand and this set has everything you need to get started. Nice little toys, parts, shapes, tools and most importantly a sandbox! I don't know why I didn't pay more attention to the scaling of the pictures but the toys and parts that come with this sand play set are a lot , tiny. The size of the parts is comparable to the size of a child's palm, which is normal since I bought this model for a preschooler.
