This welding tool promised to deliver efficient soldering capabilities for automotive work, but it failed to deliver. The tip constantly became clogged and required constant cleaning, slowing down productivity. The only advantage was the interchangeable feature, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the tool's lackluster performance.

The handle broke almost immediately. I had to glue the handle together to use it as I had the job to do. Don't put yourself in this situation. Spend a little more and buy a new Metcal solder pin or buy a used one.

Image needs updating as it is now a nut for the coax end, not a collet. Ideally, you want the cable to stay attached to the device without the cable twisting. The rotation will wear away the center pin coating and connector, resulting in an intermittent connection.
