After several hours of use, the outer plastic part at the front of the stove began to soften and lose its shape. Now I'm afraid to use it because it might catch fire or something. Otherwise, I was happy with the aesthetics and heat capacity.

Looks good but damn loud, the spinning motor is loud and if you're in a room it can drive you crazy. This is a fireplace insert that you want to have just for show and not in the room. I bought a separate chimney crackle system and I need it to mask the sound of the Theromate electric fireplace.

My father mentioned that he wanted a fireplace insert for a fireplace that hadn't been used in years. So I got him this for Christmas and we all love it! The amount of heat this insert generates is amazing given its size. The backlit tree design is very neat. Not only does it have lights that make the tree look like it's on fire, but it also has lights glowing behind it and it looks very realistic, like a fire in a fireplace. Excellent purchase!

The piece arrived in a duplicate box, which made me very happy because I had ordered a similar one a week earlier and it arrived in a broken box and, unsurprisingly, broken.
