Works well but too short

This temperature sensor works well and I like the foldable design. This appears to be correct, but the claim of a 3 second temperature reading is bogus. It may take 10-15 seconds for the temperature to finally stabilize and you know what the actual temperature is. Meanwhile, your fingers will be grilled. This design is probably great for measuring things on the stovetop or even outside the oven, but it's too short to use over an open flame. This product would be perfect if it was twice the…

Works as intended in meat

Tested when I cooked a good cut of 1.5 inch ribeye steak. I already have a Weber meat thermometer but wanted to buy another one for my parents' house. To test this, I seared the steak in the hot cast iron for 2 minutes on both sides and popped it in the oven for 5 minutes. Both thermometers plugged in and this product read 133 and my Weber read 132. Basically the same result. Works as intended and am very happy with the product. COVID-19 has made thermometers scarce and current ones unreliable.

Affects people. Yes. That's right, tested orally under the tongue, and not the sharpest tip compared to other meat thermometers, somewhat rounded, very similar in fact to the classic thermometers of the 80's and 90's. I would only use it on adults who can be careful. with holding under the tongue against the back and needs to be held in place due to the length and weight of the device but it works fine. Tested on hand is lighter and slightly higher, could be a better option. It doesn't beep, so

4.5 Good Price, Exactly

It looks like some of the electronic thermometers sold here need to be calibrated, but the DOQAUS packaging doesn't mention this and there doesn't seem to be a way to do this to set the thermometer. So I tested with ice water, food (I know the freezer/fridge temperature) and boiling water. The device appears to be accurate to within 1 degree, but you can test your device as best you can. When you open the probe, you quickly get an accurate room temperature reading. It requires quick readings…
