Authentic Thomas the Train Tank Engine Iron-On/Sew-On Patch: High-Quality Embroidered Design Review

The patch we received looked even better than the picture. Since the patch was for a project that needed to be finished by Christmas Eve, the folks at Lily's updated the shipping mode for free. Going forward I will continue to use Lily for future needs.

It was smaller than expected and the quality of the embroidery was pretty poor. My 2 year old didn't like it as he didn't recognize him as Thomas (looks so nondescript). It was thrown in a desk drawer and ended up unused.

I am very disappointed with this patch. If I could I wouldn't even give one star. I have followed the application instructions in the patch. After the first wash, the patch peeled off leaving glue on the sweatshirt. Luckily I was able to remove the glue without damaging the sweatshirt. I wouldn't buy it again and I wouldn't advise others to get this patch either.

I wanted to knit something special for the little boy I am taking care of. He is in love with Thomas the Tank Engine. I found a beautiful fine blue yarn and knitted him a scarf. I then attached two of these Thomas the Tank Engine appliques, one on each end. Now the scarf won't take off anymore. ;) Applications are bright, with easily distinguishable features. They can be ironed on or sewn on. It's amazing how a simple detail can make a gift extra special. JANA
