Purchased based on "Wirecutter review" and have to agree with their "Best Flashlight" rating. Very solidly built, switching between modes is easy and sure, and wow it is bright in that mode. Battery life is not rated because I haven't had it long enough to know. Only improvement would be a lower price . . . but only if it didn't include any compromises.

This is small little flashlight with different levels of light that is extremely well built. I appreciate that the brightness button is up on the head of this so I didn't have to go cycling thru the main button and put up with those annoying strobes. The low light setting is great for late night reading so you don't go "night blind" when you turn it off. The only negative on this is that it's black, which is sort of silly. If you are looking for a smaller flashlight that is easy to carry this is the one I have had mine just over a year now and truly enjoy it for its settings and easy to use and adjustIt is not a gun light but a small hand held flashlight that will give good service to any that use it

Having a legit flashlight near to hand is important. This one is narrow, light, has superior light focus and several settings. I just received them so I know nothing of the battery life.

The after-dark, all-weather dog walking flashlight I've been searching for. As the "Wirecutter" article warns, one can spend more money on cheap products that fail and have to be replaced than on a single, good quality one. Wish I'd been smarter about it sooner. I love the "Firefly" mode - it's just enough light to keep an eye on what my pooch is up to while maintaining my night vision. This was a great flashlight while it worked, but then it stopped working and the batteries are stuck--I cannot get them out to replace them.Update. The seller replaced my flashlight. We will see if the batteries corrode this time. I suspect the first flashlight may have been left in "firefly" mode--turned to the lowest setting rather than turned off. I don't know for sure because I hadn't been the one using it but it's an easy mistake to make.

Bought this flashlight for camping and was highly impressed by it's brightness. It will light up a major sized area well. It smokes batteries pretty quickly though but luckilly it has 3 different brightness levels. For the price it's AMAZING

This isn’t my first. This handy dandy super bright (and adjustable I might add) flashlight, is fantastic when you need to see in the dark. Easy to hold, has a bright beam, to see into the distance. Well made, worth every penny!

Big-box stores sell "normal" flashlights, which tend to be fat and heavy and often require clunky C or D type batteries. After seeing this little flashlight in a friend's forest-fire go-back, I decided to order a couple via Walmart. They seem to be well built, well designed, and much easier to carry around and store. I placed one in a nightstand for middle-of-the-night power outages and one in the kitchen for home utility use. Satisfactory purchase all around.

The feature I like the most is the ability to adjust the light is on the bezel. If you don't want it at full brilliance. You can adjust and when you turn turn it back on it will be where you adjusted it to.You don't have to cycle through all the modes to get the beam you want.

Initially I loved this light. Being able to switch between illumination levels was simply awesome. It feels good in the hand and is easy to use. Where I'm going to call this out is for longevity. If you have LED's that can last for upwards of 10 years, then why does the switch between brightness modes break down in under 2 years? The light still works, it turns on, but selecting the light function is gone. It seems stuck at below medium light level. Currently it works as well as a single AAA…

I purchased a few of these as X-Mas gifts for my gaget loving friends. Everyone loves it! I added the batteries before giving them. My unit is used and carried daily, for evening dog walks and constant power outages. Best flashlight I’ve owned so far.

Things that matter: It works, its bright, it has 4 settings, the low is really low could be useful for pretending to point at something at night and the high is really bright like when you wanna pretend to be the sun. It is a metal casing and the buttons make solid clicks and make me feel happy.Other things: it doesn't come with batteries, gonna need some double A's for this bad boy. It is on the bigger side for a pen flashlight. But all in all I'm keeping mine.

After one year the batteries were corroded and impossible to replace because the corrosion hardened and basically glued the batteries to the inside of the flashlight.

I thought this was going to be a very resilient and useful item. The features worked extremely well, and it felt fairly indestructible. Unfortunately, after very little use over last winter, it simply stopped working. Of course the batteries were changed, etc., but no luck sadly unimpressed.
