🔇 Thrush 17635 Exhaust Muffler - Silencing the Noise Review

I've tried several mufflers and this one fits just right. It was installed with the 2nd coil removed, 3" pipe from the first header/cat to the throttle muffler and 3" back to the knee and ended in front of the rear passenger wheel. No idle noise! However, it has a nice deep tone. Lots of quiet in this muffler! I've been driving my truck for 15 years with double glass, single chamber, dual chamber, dual exhaust, single exhaust, no muffler and stock mufflers. This one in particular is fairly quiet but has a decent sound when heavily throttled. There's not much rumble on the freeway, either, and there won't be that popping misfire sound when the throttle is released. smaller. Not sure if it makes much of a difference to the turbo muffler as the exhaust has to do 90 anyway. Lots of perforations as well. The body is not welded as I saw mentioned in another review. Sound is decent, not as quiet as I wanted, not much if not quieter than the 40 series it replaced on cruise, same hum/resonance under load which is really disappointing. I was looking for a SILENT 3" muffler. There aren't very many lots of them.Most mufflers are designed to make cars louder but can still pass the test.(which I understand) I like this muffler because I'm doing a sleeper on my Saab and I need something super quiet and discreet what didn't make my 4 cylinder "rice" ring either.
