Apple Cinema Display Ghosting Fix

If you have an older Apple Cinema Display and a newer Mac (mine is a 2018 Mac Mini), this adapter will fix ghosting or image retention issues. I bought a (lightly used) Mac Mini and as soon as it first booted up everything on the display was phantom or stuck. The display was connected with an HDMI adapter and I was disappointed. At first I thought it was an old display and a problem with the new Mac, but some research online changed my mind. This adapter looks great and is a perfect match forโ€ฆ

Perfectly fits my new 2018 MacBook Air with my old (2008) Apple 23 " HD Cinema Display.

Two other adapters from different vendors, each costing more, worked on mine Cinema Display didn't work properly and created artifacts that disrupted the image on the display. This display displays images accurately, quickly, and without a lot of new cables and equipment. I just plug the miniport cable into the multiport jack on my cinema display hub in a Benfei adapter and voila!It only takes 15 seconds to disconnect one adapter and connect another Reliable product.

Not compatible with the new 2019 iMac.

I bought this adapter to connect an old Dell 2407WP monitor to a new 2019 27" iMac. The new 2019 iMacs are not compatible with Displayport adapters and only have USB-C Connections My 2007 Dell monitor works great with everything down to a Mac Pro and a 2018 MacBook Pro, but spent 1 1/2 hours on an Apple enabled phone and another 1 1/2 hours at the Apple Store and we were able to do that didn't get adapter for iMac 2019. Nobody can figure out why, but they tested it with a 27" machine and a 21"โ€ฆ

I recently bought a new iMac with Lightning connectors on the back. On my previous computer I had a 23" Apple Cinema Monitor with a silver frame. Poor Shielding - Works with Macbook Pro 2018 with foil

Four stars because this dongle doesn't have the best shielding. This caused a lot of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interference on my 2018 Macbook Pro when I first started using it. The solution was to wrap it in foil - looks really silly but it works! It is a known issue with Macbook Pro 2018 that some poorly shielded USB-C dongles cause problems, especially when using the 2.5GHz WiFi band. Apple-branded adapters don't cause interference, but Apple doesn't make a USB-C to DVI adapter - apparently it'sโ€ฆ

Purchased to drive a 1080p monitor from a higher end Asus UX501VW laptop.
