They are well suited for the 3rd stage of a 5-stage reverse osmosis system. They have carbon that reduces chlorine taste when using municipal or city water. If they are at a well, they should help filter and provide clean tasting water.

Great product at a very reasonable price

water filters work great! They are heavier than other shop models but match the description. We have medium quality well water, rusty and with a slufer smell. These filters remove all contaminants as well or slightly better than 3M brand water filters or Great Value carbon water. I will order again! Thanks for the good prices and the quality product!

Doesn't filter the taste of rust!

I'm new to filters and thought this would be a suitable replacement for the activated charcoal aroma filter at a lower price. It doesn't remove the "rust" taste like the other carbon filter I've used (the water tastes perfect with it). Also noticed more hissing in the water initially. I didn't care about that part. They work, but if your fountain body is rusty, drinking the water is not recommended.
