Subpar Filter, Better off Taping Sponge

This filter can barely withstand a week before turning into a sponge. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I know this filter only works well for some time. The filter might filter the water, but the water tastes disgusting afterward....

I was wondering why Tier1 is so much cheaper. Look at the picture with the tips cut off.

This filter did not work properly after I installed it in place of the Pentek RFC-BB I was using. This didn't last long and didn't improve the taste and smell of the water like Pentek does. I bought them to save money but it wasn't worth it. I bought 3 packs but now I will not use the other two. money thrown away. No more level 1 filters for me.
