I hope I never have to find out if it works or not

No problems with picture quality or internet speed. Easy installation. The signal level is perfect. A product of the mind.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Good overall but...

Seems to work: power strips and surge protector

This is one of those devices that you hope will work, but only a high voltage transient event will tell you for sure. In any case, I feel better after installing it, although maybe it's just a fantasy.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Easy to fit into power strips and surge protectors

I have used these for commercial networks and they have saved devices that have survived a lightning strike. Lightning grilled the ISP's trap in the pedestal outside but didn't hit our equipment in the data room. Easy to install, no slowdown in dnload/upload speed. They only work as advertised.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Who knows if it works or not, but the signal doesn't decrease, so good. Make sure you plug it into the nearest outlet that matches the coax outlet in your home. coaxial connection invades your home. I have a COX cable and a 100MB download. No problem.

Stop the tide of death!

I've seen this device stop surges and sacrifice itself if the center conductor of a coaxial cable breaks. Since then I've been using them in a building that is very vulnerable and experiences annual surges during thunderstorms. I use this to protect my cable modem for spectral internet and use it outside the building. However, make sure you use weather grommets to keep water out of the unit. If there is a speed reduction, that's negligible compared to the protection I've seen with this device!

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

Great product but tricky to connect the ground wire

Pros: Inexpensive No speed loss at 50MB/s (using Testmy.net) Works great in theory Ready to install Cons: Difficult to connect the ground wire Will free space behind the modem with direct installation. Today, most surges that damage computer hardware are due to the network connection (Ethernet cables) and not the power cables, as these are often properly shielded. Therefore, this product is great if you want to protect all your gear. I installed it on the coax coming into the house, right in…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Requires socket

Slight drop in signal (tested) with specs

Downstream Signal strength dropped less than 0.5dBmV and upstream return stayed the same +/- 0.25dBmV and signal ratio - noise stayed about the same +/- - 0.50dB. It is very good. This should be installed where your cable enters your home or office (usually outside) before the splitter (if you have one). Make sure it's plugged in and near a grounded ground lug or multi-cable provider (which are always grounded). For example, this article would be ideal if you already have a ground block and…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Long delivery

Delivered item differs from the picture

Please note that you may receive the wrong version. The wrong item was sent to me the first time. I tried again and got the wrong item again. Alleged model number: 210MF75F225-31 Photo shows a man and a woman. Instead I have the female to female version model number: 210FF75F225-31. It doesn't work for my setup without additional components. Send both packages back. Too bad because the item shown in the photo looks like it would fit perfectly.

Pros
  • Surge protector
Cons
  • Large and bulky
