Amazing quality, I haven't had any blisters or any discomfort when wearing them on hikes. I even went through the gorges in Zion when you walked a few miles on the water. They survived and supported me very well! I wouldn't want anything else, I can't believe such things exist.

Get a size bigger than he normally wears. it suits them now, but in the spring they will fit even better. Great boot for this mean weather. My 6 year old loves them. Top quality, beautiful shoes!

My 7 year old first pair of hiking boots and no complaints from him. Put them on right away for a 3 mile walk in the Carolinas and no blisters, sores or discomfort. Appears to be fairly waterproof.

The fit is generous, the cut pleasing. Not waterproof but slightly water repellent? It can be a bit noisy walking on the sidewalk. The only thing I would change is the laces, they feel a bit sticky when tightening/unfastening due to the happy sheen (need more polyester?)
