Came with dead battery. But I change watch batteries often, so it wasn't a big problem. This is a very beautiful watch. Smaller version of Seiko Tuna. The movement is just a cheap quartz movement with no name, but it keeps time well as you would expect from any quartz movement. Good quality case and bracelet. The band is very big.
