This is an absolutely beautiful cross stitch stocking and I really enjoyed making it except for one thing. I ran out of floss, not 1st not 2nd but 9 colors! I've made so many cross stitch kits and this has NEVER happened! Thank goodness there were a lot of beads in the set but there wasn't enough floss, especially gold and silver metallic. There is no justification for this.

If I hadn't had experience with these counted cross-stitch stockings, I'd be crying. Although it's very pretty, I've run out of several thread colors, and metallic thread is very difficult to work with, especially when it says to use 2 threads instead of 1. The instructions are vague for beginners, with a lot of guesswork involved. This is a beautiful angel but maybe try using metallic thread for the outline and add more thread.

Very nice! Like others, I ran out of thread in different colors. And "dark red" was more of a dark purple. I ended up changing the color because after sewing it was MUCH darker and didn't blend at all. Also, the white beads I received were more like little balls sitting oddly on top of the stocking. I wish they had the same pearls as the gold and red ones. I ended up making knots instead of beads because I didn't like the look. In the end it turned out great. But it was definitely stress.

I have finished 4 cross stitch stockings. The instructions in the kit were not detailed enough. I didn't know how many threads to use for finishing and sewing. The thread itself was of poor quality and kept breaking. Some colors did not match the DMC number which was the corresponding number. I'm out of green and can't find the right thread. This was my second stocking. I really like how it came out. It came together quicker than other angel stockings available, but it was also the first set I had that didn't have a lot of thread. It was only gold that ran out but there were a few colors, I had maybe 3 inches of 2 strands to the last stitch so watch out for usage. I made the beads around the snowflakes with gold thread and that might not have been a good idea to start with, but it wouldn't have been enough to frame the name without
