I'll probably never use another pen for drawing again

I used to use Sakura Micron pens for my sketches in bullet mags and they just didn't work - neither with my Lemone mags nor with Scribbles matter. After using them for a while (about 5 months) I gave up and decided to look around for other pens and settled on Tombow Mono Drawing Pens. You are fantastic. The ink is very dark and heavy, it glides easily across the page and my illustrations look much better in comparison. Really glad I decided to buy them on a whim, wish I had found them before…

I think I'm in love!

So I bought these after seeing all the internet hype about them without knowing anything about them. Actually I just wanted more pens for my bullet magazine. To have. Please. B. Love. I'll actually buy them again because not only do I like them better than my Pigma Micron pens (I know, I know. Blasphemy), but I write so stinkily that I went to the 01 pen (which, apart from 03 is the pen I use the most out of all the other pens I own). The ink is smooth, dries insanely fast and I haven't had a…

They're good, just no better than my favorite Microns.

This will be a 100% biased review, at least I'm warning you :) I tried to do these line art on watercolor paper after ruining the tips of my Sakura Micron pens would have. Someone (well, many) in the art community suggested buying them. On watercolor paper they are no better than my Maicons. :(Now that this ^ ugliness is over I can really tell you that the pen itself is still a great pen for drawing on a NORMAL notepad or journals, planners, any other paper you want to draw on, zentangle…

Excellent pens, three different sizes in the pack!

Excellent pens. I had just started a bullet journal and was looking for a marker to write with. I first bought a set of Sakura Micron pens but read poorly and bought 003 instead of 03. I could find any o3 I could buy so I bought these mono tombow pens instead. as long as i love her 03 and 05 are perfect for writing. I will probably only use 01 for very small letters. The ink is beautifully black, does not run across the paper and the pen feels good in the hand.

Pros
  • Ideal for illustrations, technical drawings, manga, anime, lettering and magazines.
Cons
  • Not fashionable.
