I love these pens! for writing and correction tools

I started using these Tombow pens to learn to write with a brush. I started with two packs, but I liked the hard training handpiece so much that I bought 5 packs straight away. If I review them, I will order them again without question!

Pros
  • feels good
Cons
  • long wait

Soft pen is better than hard pen

This is a hard pen for calligraphy and writing. My main issue with this is that it tends to dry out quicker than other pens I've tried, including the Tombow Fudenosuke soft nibs. I've posted some photos of my writing comparing hard and soft. I prefer soft because I feel my writing feels a bit smoother with soft, and I prefer the overall feel of a softer tip when writing.

Best for handwriting

I'm not a handwriting expert, but I've tried several pens and this one is my favorite. I prefer the sharp lines of a hard point to a soft one. It wasn't difficult for me to get used to them. I originally bought these to address birthday cards for work and found them to write smoothly and beautifully and have received many compliments. I did a water wipe test for several brands I tried. Tombow is much better. I still have a lot to learn but I love to practice so this will help!

Pros
  • Easy setup

  • No form required

I LOVE Tombow! I like this pack even more because .

I LOVE Tombows! I like this set even more because, as an avid freehand lettering artist, I regularly review it. For those of you who have never used this product before, Tombow fudenosuke is a brush pen with a felt tip pen. Imagine the shape of a Crayola marker: a thicker base and a small, pointed tip. This handle has a little more flexibility. These pens are great for illustration or lettering/modern calligraphy; The harder you press, the thicker the line gets! There are two types of…

Arrived as expected, works great! Suitable for left-handers.

I opened two of these brush pens and they work exactly as expected. Being left-handed, I need a much finer point for calligraphy. This brush pen is the only one that really gives me a lot of control. Some people say it's not a "brush pen" because the tip is hard, and it's not actually a "brush", but the tip should be hard. You can soften the tip to make it look more like a brush by breaking the tip (just press hard to loosen the hardness). If you're still unsatisfied, opt for soft tombow grips,

Good pens. VERY hard advice. Should have bought a soft one.

excellent quality. Local stores have two packs for about the same price. Fair warning, if you haven't used those hard brush pens, they are REALLY hard. You need to apply enough pressure to achieve alternating stroke widths. This can be very tiring for your hand. In retrospect I would have preferred the soft version of these pens as the hard tip is a lot harder than I expected. Great pen, great ink and great pigment with smooth clean lines. Will bleed with alcohol markers if you saturate the…

I've bought one before so I came back for more.

I liked this brush so much I bought five. One for home, work, bag and more. So far I've only tested two out of five and they're reliable. No problem. Works the same as any others I've bought before. I've tried other brush pens, but this one works particularly well for small handwriting. I can take a lot of notes with this pen. I mainly use this pen to handwrite quotes in notes from books I've read and attach them to the book for future reference. Also use this and other handmade postcard pens…
