The shoes I received were below average compared to toms I've bought in the past. There were dirty threads and the heels were very hard. They are true to size but very uncomfortable. I wore them on an 8 day trip to Mexico City. I only wore them once before traveling to make sure they didn't cause blisters. The fit was just right. It was dry season so the shoes never got wet or caught in the rain. It was winter, so the temperature never rose above 75 degrees. So no excessive sweating as such, no moisture from the environment. I am very sorry for those who received counterfeits. I got real black-on-black volumes for $30! I am happy! I have very wide peasant feet (think short and equal toes with a wide forefoot and thin heel) that range in size from 6.5 to 7.
