I had to examine the product more closely, but this involves removing the chip from existing toner cartridges and putting them on top of these. It is not easy. I messed up 2 before I figured it out. The instructions are useless. I definitely see the value in that it's 1/4 the price of an official HP product, but if I didn't have backups ready I wouldn't be able to print. Removing the chip from the old HP cartridge was very easy, but it was very difficult for us to put the old chip in the to get a new cartridge without a chip. The chip eventually popped out on about the 100th try and fell to the ground or fell into the cartridge itself. We don't know exactly where it went. To this day we do not know where he went.
