I have several of these different sizes and each has worked for me time and again and given me solid results. I use a damp sponge and periodically wet the hole. I use a single speed grinder with a porter cord.

It is VERY difficult to get a clean cut. You almost need a drill press to get the job done. Trying to make a sink in honey onyx. Luckily I started a hole in the back of the bowl and the sink mounting ring covered the huge area it created. Not recommended for the weekend warrior or casual handyman.
