I bought two of these because all my grandchildren love them, ranging in age from six months to three years. The base of each egg is shaped to fit snugly in one spot on the egg holder. Each egg is its own color, and its top has a face of the same color. but any top fits any egg, but with age the child begins to want to combine colors. This is one of my 15 month old granddaughter's favorite toys! An egg box is difficult to open (even for her 4-year-old sister), so having an already unlocked plastic container helps.
