It turns out it's TLC and uses a Phison E12 (ECFM22.6) quad-core controller! I tested it with an external Thunderbolt 3 enclosure on two i5 iMacs. Also note that this is a fairly thick double-sided drive, so keep that in mind (it won't fit in that cheap Wavlink case). Best price ever for a high end consumer drive, very happy with this purchase!
