This device looks very well built and delivers great sound, especially at this price point. The controls are clear and easy to use. Works perfectly with my MacBook. An added benefit is a built-in 110V power supply, eliminating the need to depend on noisy USB power supplies. worth your money!

I bought this Topping D70 because the Audio Science Review reviews were great and I've also had great success with one of their little amps. Unfortunately, this device has been making background noise ever since. I've tried many different power cords, outlets, and connectors to no avail. I will no longer buy Topping product. I took a chance knowing it wasn't a genuine HiFi brand and now I understand why.

Excellent sound quality to date when listening to a CD player via coaxial SPDIF. Smooth and detailed analog sound. For convenience, it would be nice to have a built-in headphone amp, although audiophiles prefer separate amps. A BT receiver would be a nice addition, as would a standard HDMI input via I2S to feed from a high-resolution BluRay player. Also, hopefully the firmware will be updated to show the input bit depth (16, 20, 24) as well as the current sample rate.

Originally I wanted to return it because the Windows 7 driver for the USB interface was missing. Topping said this is a very common problem and there is no way to fix it. I knew it wasn't true. However, the seller offered a discount if I liked the sound and kept it. After 2 weeks I decided to go for the sound not the discount. As always a great product from Topping. It replaces my old DAC, the D50 (which is also from Topping and which I recommend) because I wanted to use a balanced XLR for my headphones and headphone amp. There's a noticeable improvement in sound in the form of more accurate mapping after the upgrade, although I can't tell if that's due to the AKM chip in the D70 or the ESS in the D50 switching from unbalanced mix to balanced XLR, or something quite different (placebo, but that's a topic for another…
