As others have said, pump to get stuff where it needs to go, as other reviewers said sticky pump, but I was looking for the first downside, the pump lock that rotates 240% , and mine was so sticky too. Look at the picture. My 4 year old hot tub sits in the sun most of the day, every day. We're in El Paso, Texas, so over 300 days of sunshine all day long. Summer temperatures are above 100 for more than 40 days. The sun's damage to the environment has been extensive. Look where I have treated and where not.
