I had to cut it open to let my baby's head through.

There is no point in having a new rain poncho that you have to turn inside out and cut to fit over your child's head. "BIG KIDS RAIN PONCHO". my child is six. It had to fit his head.

Pretty but really for single use only

This worked well for my kids and their backpacks. However, when trying to take them off, the jackets were torn. That's probably because my kids are small (5 and 7 years old) and don't need time to hold each side of the latches, preferring to grab the plastic piece. However this is for kids so I expected it to be more durable.

Sturdy Than Many, Easy To Use

We sent this to an overnight camp with a 10 year old and they said when they got home it was the best poncho they've had at camp since leaving. (Also, it was raining while they were in storage.) The snap-on "sleeves" appear to be much better than the other models, and the plastic seems quite strong and doesn't tear easily. You'll never put it back in the mesh pouch it came in, but it served us well during summer camp.
